Hi There! I’m Kevin.

Hello there friends! It has been quite a year. Throughout the entire pandemic I was forced to decide where I wanted to go with life. I no longer wanted to work the typical Monday through Friday 9am-5pm job for someone else. I wanted to become independent and be able to travel the world. In order to do this, I decided to take my hobby of baking and sewing to the next level. I soft launched the business in January of 2021 and finally made everything official in May of 2021. It has come with great support of family and friends.

In July of 2020 I decided to uproot my life and move across the country from Idaho to Virginia. I had lived in Idaho for ten years and was ready for a change. I have been able to adventure and see most of the country except for the eastern seaboard. Having a home in Virginia has allowed me the opportunities to explore the east coast and learn about the diverse history of our country and the endless food opportunities.

Over the past year I have grown more than I have in the past decade. One of the groups that I follow closely is Yes Theory (find them on Facebook, Instagram, and/or YouTube). I have adapted their motto of seek discomfort into my daily life. The idea behind seek discomfort is to step out of your comfort zone. When you push yourself out of the comfort zone, you allow true growth to take place. I started to channel this idea when I turned 30 in 2019. I took a vacation to south Florida for a week. During that time, I visited Miami, Key West, Orlando, Tampa, Naples, and the Everglades before venturing over to southern California. During my time in Key West I decided to go parasailing. This journey took me over 500’ up in the air over the Gulf of Mexico, ALONE! This was an exhilarating adventure for me because I don’t know how to swim and I’m afraid of heights. I can honestly say, as I write this a year and a half later, that was one of my most memorable experiences of my life. It pushed me way beyond my comfort zone and has kickstarted the drive to push myself into new growth daily. It is with this renewed energy and passion that I decided to turn my life-long hobby into a business.

It has been an exciting year, even though the coronavirus pandemic plagued the globe. I took each day in stride and made them as positive and life changing as possible. I would not have been able to do this without the never ending support of my family and friends. Find yourself a circle of people that know when and how to push you in ways that you need, even if you don’t know it.

Lastly, welcome again! I am excited to bring you along this journey called life within the traveling bakery, meal prep, and haberdashery. I will be in the Fredericksburg, Virginia area for at least the next few years. The plan is to work on acquiring a van to convert into a mobile home and business that I can maximize my full potential with. The ultimate goal is to drive to the Ushuaia, Argentina; the southernmost point of South America. I want to do this while baking my way south, exploring the different local cuisines of each country, culture, and community.

I’m glad you are coming along for this journey.
